I'm just in love with my new Kymco Black like scooter :) i can't stop looking at it and have gotten so many wonderful comments on how cool it looks! I agree

Well Scooter girl in the city is me... Darla Michelsen of Denver! I started it as a blog to write about my adventures on my scooter and about all the cool places I love to go to in Denver! not long after that I hooked up with Sportique Scooters and started holding a few scooter girl events. Now I have recently expanded my love to a scooter girl website and scooter safety blog called Urban Scooter Safety.
Just wanting to provide as much information as I can... to also support new scooter riders!
I just love promoting all the scooter clubs and telling people about rides and sharing my love of Scooters and the scooter community! and telling everyone all the cool places to check out in Denver :)
Scooter Girl in the city is not a scooter club! there are so many cool clubs out there... I have no need to start another one.
I do have my honorary Scooter girls! and they have been supporter from the start! love you girls! and there are scooter boys I love too :) don't we all

It will feature scooter safety tips by Sportique scooters and new rider tips by Kymco scooters... and any other great information in regards to safety, Scooter laws and updates and scooter insurance options.

Scooter enthusiasts unite for the First Annual Denver Art Scooter Parade on race day! We want your wildest, funkiest, Colfaxiest, best getups!
The parade will be running parallel to parts of the half marathon course along east Colfax.
One of the original supporters of the Colfax Marathon was City Councilwoman Carla Madison. Carla passed away last year, and we miss her lively, fun ideas! We’re excited to help bring one of them to life: a scooter parade on Colfax!
Help us honor her and keep the spirit of Colfax rolling!!

Elvis complete with costume, a slick ride, and portable music.. Or the runaway bride? Spiderman with his web? Bonnie and Clyde? Governor Hickenlooper? Yep, there are prizes. So – transform that scooter (appendages allowed), find that perfect getup, and don’t forget about Sound or Music!
We’ll meet up in City Park at a top secret locale (maps and details to come once you register). We’ll be looping a set course during the first mile of the half marathon, waving at thousands of runners. Then it’s a quick breakfast bash, and off to 17th Avenue to greet runners at about Mile 11. Be prepared for shouts, laughter, and cheers as you ride by. The finish is at the Marathon Finish in City Park, where we’ll have a parking area and scooter display for runners to check out.
Runners can’t hitch a ride. That’s cheating. No throwing things to the crowd. That’s tripping.

I was told by Sportique that the very cute "People" is not being made any more so if you are really wanting one get one while supplies last! I know Sportique Scooters has a supply of them so go check them out.
They are very cute and they have only one of the White 50cc left! I love white scooters as well as my fav pink and then after that it would have to be black for sure.
I also took out the people recently and thought it was a super fun ride plus they are so darn cute :)

The Weather here in Denver is starting to change and I took advantage of it and went over to test ride the Like Scooter by Kymco... I took a short spin first on the 50cc and then came back for the 200i
First thing I have to comment about was the seat.. it was super comfy and plenty of room for 2 people. I didn't feel the need to stand up at every stop light to re-adjust myself. You know when you feel like everything is falling asleep :)
The scooter is very substantial and a bit heavier than some of the other models but found it to be very stable when I came up over the bridge going over the highway and a gust of wind came up. I remember being on a ride a couple of years ago and the wind came up and pulled a few of us girls over to the curb.
Not the case with the Like scooter, I didn't feel much pull at all.
The back box comes with the scooter and plenty of room under the seat as well.
it seemed that my legs were sitting a bit higher and had to get adjusted to that but over all I loved the ride!
a lot of scooter for a great price! Look for Scooter girl around town at all my favorite places on the Like Scooter by Kymco.
As you can see it was a great day for ice cream and showing off your scooter :)
