Hi Jackson here and I just wanted to share a little bit about the Morris Animal Foundation and Jackson's friends.Morris Animal foundation was founded by Mark Morris Sr. in 1948 and the focus has always been finding ways to improve the health of all animals. MAF raises money to fund research to help find cures to so many illnesses that takes animals lives.
The Canine Cancer campaign is working to help raise funds to find a cure to Cancer and it also is raising awareness as to the impact cancer has on dogs of every breed. 1 in 4 dogs will get cancer and over 50% will die of cancer. and some breeds are even more susceptiable to cancer like the Golden retreiver.There is always hope and MAF helps bring hope to saving the animals we love.
Even Chinese cresteds like me can get cancer. I started Jackson's friends to help make the public aware and to help raise money for the Morris Animal Foundation.

My Name is Cha Cha and I'm Jackson's best friend and roommate and just want to say thank you for all the support and prayers and cards and calls while Jackson was getting better.
I took very good care of him during that time and never left his side. I love him a lot ! He is my forever friend.
I'm going to be popping in to give my thoughts on things from time to time and just wanted to introduce myself to everyone.
It has been over a year since I was told that Jackson had a brain tumor and my only options for treatment was chemo.He had two rounds of chemo and has been doing fine from that point to now.
We formed Jackson's Friends last year to serve as a way to communicate and educate the public about canine cancer and the many treatment options and to provide hope to those who have animals with cancer.
We joined up with The Morris Animal Foundation's Canine Cancer Campaign to raise awareness and to raise funds to support research to find a cure and help find the best cancer treatments
We had the first Event last September at Zen Dog Pet boutique and had a nice turn out and much support from many of Jackson's Friends.
We will be posting more often now and trying to get the word out and also planning some exciting and fun events coming up this year.
Jackson wants to send out a special thank you to his friend Deb Bridges for helping him get his blog up and running. He is sending many puppy kisses to you.

In February of this year my baby Chinese crested dog Jackson turned 3 years old and a few weeks after that he started to show signs of a ear infection.I took him to the vet and came home that day with ear drops but my poor baby declined fast and within 3 days he was having seizures so I rushed him to Alameda East here in Denver and after many tests it was found that he had a tumor in the brain or cancer.I spent many hours on the computer looking for answers or some kind of hope and it was out this point that I decided to start Jackson's Friends to raise awareness, communication and money to help fight cancer in animals.
On September 13th at Zen Dog Boutique we will hold an fund raising event to raise money to donate to the Morris Animal Foundation's Canine Cancer Campaign... please join us from 1-4:30 at 2401 15th St
We will also be taking donations of $25.00 and $50.00 for Jackson's Friends charms and Canine Cancer Campaign charms plus a silent auction and give aways and local vets there to answer your questions about treatment options for cancer in animals.
I'm hoping that you will come to this site and share your stories that could help another have hope to save a animal friend from cancer
